Amazon Prime Video’s schedule of new TV and movie releases for August 26-September 1, 2024, includes The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 and the Korean comedy-drama series No Gain No Love.

On Monday, August 26, the Korean comedy-drama series No Gain No Love drops on Amazon Prime Video. The story follows Son Hae-yeong, a young woman who has faced multiple losses and is eager for a promotion at work. To achieve this, she convinces Kim Ji-uk, a noble and helpful convenience store employee from her neighborhood, to enter into a fake marriage with her.

The cast for this series includes Shin Min-a, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyun, Jeon Hye-won, and Lee You-jin.

Then, on August 29, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video. This season will focus on Sauron, following his defeat and banishment by Galadriel at the end of Season 1. Sauron, now without an army or allies, uses his intelligence and cunning to forge the Rings of Power again. This follows Galadriel’s thwarting of his plot in the previous season.

John D. Payne and Patrick McKay created The Rings of Power. This series acts as a prequel to The Lord of the Rings novel and is set 100 years before the book’s events. The cast includes Morfydd Clark, Charlie Vickers, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, and Ismael Cruz Córdova, among others.

I have Prime video with my Amazon Prime membership. And NO, I am not paying to stream shows on a service I already pay for. Almost every Prime show worth watching is RENT or BUY. I watched 6 seasons of Young Sheldon on Netflix before I realized the final 7th season was only on Prime.. to rent or buy. Not doing it. Old series I love to rewatch went to Prime only.. do you honestly think I'm going to buy Friends or Big Bang Theory from you..NOPE.
