The Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland release date is officially out, with The Mix Games confirming when the retro-inspired platformer will arrive.

What is the Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland release date?

Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland will release on September 10, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will arrive a day later, on September 11, 2024. The game supports both solo or co-op play and features a litany of other characters from the series, including Angelica, Cynthia, Spike, Reptar, and more.

In the game, players will be able to toggle between 8bit and HD art, featuring hand-drawn animations to match the original cartoon’s style. Similar to platformers of the past, each character also has their own special abilities and traits, and there are tons of collectibles to be found in the game.

A new trailer for the game was also released to celebrate the game’s release date announcement, which you can see below:

“Power through high-speed chases, sneak around as a baby-stack trench coat, and destroy buildings on TV as Reptar,” reads the game’s description. “Meet familiar faces including Angelica, Cynthia and Spike along the way, and take a trip down memory lane thanks to stunning hand-drawn animations reminiscent of the original TV classic or enjoy the adventure in a nostalgic 8-bit style. Take up the mantle and guide a band of infant heroes as they unleash mischief on the world!”

Earlier this year, ComingSoon was able to get a hands-on session with the game at PAX East 2024. In our preview, we found that “between the look and feel of the game, the modern amenities, and the ability to play in 8-bit, Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland promises to be the nostalgia game of your dreams.”
