Embrace in the Dark Night

This August 2024 Chinese drama follows Wen Xi (Gao Rong Fang), who accidentally involves herself with a sketchy underground fight club while visiting a foreign country and is forced to become the trophy for champion. Meanwhile, Xu Zhe Qing (Jesse Ren), a private security consultant, goes undercover and participates in the fight to rescue Wen Xi. The two manage a daring escape. They also come close during the operation.

A few years later, Wen Xi faces another crisis as her twin sister, Wen Hao, suddenly passes away under mysterious circumstances. While investigating the case, she crosses paths with Xu Zhe Qing once again. However, this time, they are on the opposite sides.

Love’s Rebellion

The xianxia Chinese drama narrates the story of Nan Yan (Jing Tian), a young, talented poisoner who enters the valley of filth while trying to save her mother. There, she meets the mysterious emperor Ji Yang (Zhang Linghe), who saves her from evil entities. But he conceals his true identity. In reality, he is the demon monarch Shao Cang, who has been framed for murdering his peers.

Although the duo starts off on the wrong foot, Ji Yang agrees to help her in various ways. After Nan Yan forms a spiritual connection seal with Ji Yang, they get entangled in conspiracies. As a result, they have no other choice but to rely on each other. Eventually, they fall in love.

The four individuals come from different backgrounds and have different characteristics. One is a refugee, while another is a noblewoman. They all live in the peaceful Daming Dynasty. However, these four people decide to team up when diplomatic matters become more complex and threaten the kingdom’s peace. The Chinese drama is available to stream on iQIYI.

Burning Love

The series tells the story of Xie Lan Qin (Xu Jiaqi), who misunderstands the love of her life, Feng Yan (Li Zhuoyang). She mistakenly thinks that he caused her family to suffer. As such, she pushes him away.

Soon after, she realizes that Feng Yan has always protected her from a distance. Even after their relationship reaches a dead end, he refuses to give up on her. Realizing the mistake, Xie Lan Qin vows to make amends and pursue her old love. Moreover, she becomes desperate to gain his trust back.

Dawn Is Breaking

This Chinese drama premiered in August 2024 and follows a noblewoman named Xie Wan Yin (He Xuan Lin) who accidentally witnesses a heinous murder on her wedding day. However, soon after, she becomes the target of Dongfang Zui (Richard Li), the murderer.

Sure enough, Dongfang Zui changes the trajectory of the wedding between Xie Wan Yin and the prince. He pressurizes her family to make her marry him.
