Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns Trailer Shows Sektor in Action

With Cyrax gameplay recently shown, it was only a matter of time Sektor would get her own spotlight. Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios revealed a brand new Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns trailer for the crimson Lin Kuei warrior featuring her explosive move set, and her loyalty to Bi-Han.

Who is Sektor in Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns?

The new Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns trailer gives an in-depth look at Sektor, Sub-Zero’s most trust Lin Kuei lieutenant. Her gameplay utilizes a lot of advanced weaponry including a flamethrower, and missile strikes. She also looks to have good maneuverability thanks to her rocket thrusters.

We also see where Sektor’s loyalties lie in the new expansion. “I share his vision for the Lin Kuei,” she states in reference to Sub-Zero. “We won’t be bound by Liu Kang’s limits.” Clearly, this is suggesting she will fight against Liu Kang’s new era. However, as seen in the trailer, it seems Sub-Zero will be lost for a bit as he chases after Havik, the villain of Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns.

In addition to her move set, glimpses of her devastating Fatal Blow, and Fatality are shown. New to Mortal Kombat 1 are Animalities, Fatalities that allow combatants to transform into animals and absolutely obliterate their opponent. Sektor’s animality is teased at the end of the trailer as she transforms into a rhinoceros and rams into Quan Chi.

Sektor is just one of six playable characters added with the new expansion. Previous Mortal Kombat characters include Noob Saibot, and Cyrax. The guest characters this time around will be Ghostface from Scream, T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and Conan the Barbarian.

Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns launches on September 24, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Preorders are available now.
