    Labyrinth & The Dark Crystal 4K & Blu-ray Release Date Set for Jim Henson Movies

    Shout! Studios and The Jim Henson Company have announced Labyrinth & The Dark Crystal 4K & Blu-ray release date for the upcoming limited edition collector’s sets of Jim Henson‘s epic fantasy adventure movies from the 1980s.

    Labyrinth was directed by Henson, with George Lucas serving as executive producer. Starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, the 1986 film is an unforgettable fantasy adventure that follows Sarah Williams (Connelly) as she makes her way through the labyrinth of the Goblin King Jareth (Bowie) in search of her little brother Toby.

    The Dark Crystal was co-directed by Henson and Oz. The 1982 movie recounts the timeless tales of good versus evil, becoming a cult favorite around the world. It featured innovative animatronics and uniquely memorable characters created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The voice cast was led by Stephen Garlick as Jen, Lisa Maxwell as Kira, and Billie Whitelaw as Aughra.

    When is the Labyrinth & The Dark Crystal 4K & Blu-ray release date?

    Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal will both be available for purchase on 4K UHD and Blu-ray formats, including each movie’s Limited Edition Collector’s Set. Both sets will be released on home entertainment shelves starting on November 19, 2024. On the same day, Shout! Studios will also release Limited Edition SteelBooks of Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal exclusively at Walmart.

    In addition to special features, the Limited Edition Collector’s Set of Labyrinth will include a glass crystal ball with interior 3D-etching of the movie title, a wooden labyrinth-style base for display, five art cards, a 28-page book with new essays, production stills, concept art by Brian Froud, and a collectible sticker. Listed below are the complete bonus features for each disc of the Labyrinth Collector’s Set and SteelBook:
