Spider-Man 4 Cast: Which MCU & Spider-Verse Heroes Could Appear?

Curious about the Spider-Man 4 cast and which heroes might make an appearance? According to the latest reports, Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is in talks to helm the Marvel-Sony collaboration Spider-Man 4. With highly-anticipated production going forward, there has been considerable speculation about which heroes can appear in the movie.

With such massive success, it’s no surprise that Spider-Man 4 is in the works. The multiverse angle from No Way Home has opened the door to countless possibilities, including bringing back major heroes and Spider-Verse characters to join the Spider-Man 4 cast.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

According to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Holland will reprise his role as iconic Spider-Man in Spider-Man 4, continuing his MCU journey. Holland’s return sets the stage for more thrilling encounters with both old and new heroes.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man

Garfield portrayed Peter Parker / Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He recently dismissed the rumors about his potential return in Spider-Man 4.

“I mean, like the internet is a big place,” the We Live in Time actor told Indie Wire. “I think there’s a lot of people who will just say anything to get clicks. So you might have been duped, I’m afraid.”

However, Garfield also denied that he was in Spider-Man: No Way Home before its release, so his appearance in Spider-Man remains very much a possibility.

Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

Maguire’s Spider-Man from the three Sam Raimi movies also appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. So, if Spider-Man 4 explores the multiverse further, we might see him return alongside Holland.

Miles Morales (from Earth-616)

The introduction of an Earth-616 version of Miles Morales could significantly expand the Spider-Verse in the MCU. While no official announcement has been made, either from the creators or Morales’, the prospect of him joining the Spider-Man 4 cast excites fans.

Daredevil

Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock / Daredevil was part of Spider-Man: No Way Home, so he can potentially appear in Spider-Man 4. Perhaps, this time, he can bring along other street-level heroes, especially if the story is set in New York, as Spider-Man and Daredevil both reside there.

Captain Marvel

Brie Larson is a friend of Cretton, and they have collaborated on multiple projects. Accordingly, she might make a guest appearance, just as she did in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Shang-Chi

As mentioned above, Cretton previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. So, Simu Liu’s Xu Shang-Chi / Shaun can potentially appear in Spider-Man 4 and join forces with Spidey. A crossover with Shang-Chi would be a fresh and exciting addition to the Spider-Man 4 cast.
