The latest edition of WWE RAW took place at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, featuring several high-profile matches and a major segment. The show opened with a four-on-four Street Fight, where The Wyatt Sicks dominated American Made.

Damian Priest and Finn Balor followed with a heated confrontation, officially confirming their WWE Bad Blood match. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair successfully defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

Gunther, Sami Zayn, and Bret Hart had another intense segment, adding to the night’s drama. WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Drew McIntyre will face CM Punk inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood. The night ended with Jey Uso defeating Ilja Dragunov, Pete Dunne, and Braun Strowman, earning a shot at Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship. Moreover, the promotion has revealed a significant update regarding RAW’s runtime.

WWE RAW runtime set to change in October

The Season Premiere of Monday Night RAW saw a huge announcement. WWE announced a significant change regarding the show’s future. Since its debut in 1993, WWE RAW has become the flagship program of the promotion and holds the record for the longest-running weekly episodic TV show. After expanding to a three-hour format in 2012 following its 1000th episode, the show is now set for another major shift.

The promotion shared the news on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, revealing that starting October 7, WWE RAW will switch to a two-hour format. This new format will continue weekly until the final episode airs on the USA Network on December 30, 2024.

WWE RAW will debut on Netflix on January 6, 2025, ushering in a new era for the long-running show. With the program transitioning back to a two-hour format, it seems likely that following its move to Netflix, the show will become a two-hour commercial-free experience.
