WWE Legend Thinks It’s Too Soon for Jacob Fatu to Face Roman Reigns

Former WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns has stayed away from WWE since Jacob Fatu attacked him. After WrestleMania 40, Reigns took a break, and Solo Sikoa stepped up as the new leader of The Bloodline. Sikoa made significant changes to the faction, removing Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman and adding new members, including Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and the unpredictable Jacob Fatu.

Roman Reigns returned at WWE SummerSlam to reclaim his position as The Head of The Table and The Tribal Chief from Solo Sikoa. After his return, he focused on the Ula Fala that Solo Sikoa wore during his absence. On the August 9 edition of WWE SmackDown, Reigns single-handedly took down The New Bloodline, with Jacob Fatu missing.

The following week, Reigns confronted Sikoa and took back the Ula Fala. However, Jacob Fatu unexpectedly attacked him, and with Fatu’s help, The Bloodline put Reigns through a table. Since then, Reigns has been missing from WWE programming, having been taken out by Fatu.

Many fans are speculating that WWE might be heading toward a Fatu vs. Reigns storyline instead of Reigns vs. Sikoa. However, WWE legend Rikishi does not seem to support the idea of Fatu facing Reigns.

Rikishi’s comments on Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu: What did he say?

On the “Off The Top” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi discussed who Roman Reigns’ next opponent should be. He suggested that Reigns could face either Jacob Fatu or Solo Sikoa. He believes it might be too soon to put Fatu in a high-profile match with Reigns.

Rikishi stated that Reigns could “go either way,” but it will depend on “which way the GOAT feels.” He then said that “whether he goes with Jacob, that’ll be good; whether he goes with Solo, we all know that’s going to be good.” However, Rikishi feels that “Jacob has momentum” currently. “Solo is a made guy already, and so with Jacob, he has momentum, but if we throw him right now to Roman I feel we’re rushing him. I feel that Jacob should just terrorize, do regular TV matches with different talent, just because Jacob has yet to show his wrestling ability [to the WWE audience],” he continued.

The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown features a huge steel cage match scheduled between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa for the WWE Undisputed Title. However, it has also been reported that Roman Reigns is advertised for the show. It will be interesting to see what unfolds in this match.
