The first trailer for Brothers has been released.

Brothers is a new action comedy movie directed by Max Barbakow. Starring Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage, and more, the film will get a limited theatrical release in the United States next week before hitting Amazon Prime Video at a later date.

    What is Brothers about?

“Brothers tells the story of a reformed criminal (Josh Brolin) whose attempt at going straight is derailed when he reunites with his sanity-testing twin brother (Peter Dinklage) on a cross-country road trip for the score of a lifetime,” the official synopsis reads. “Dodging bullets, the law, and an overbearing mother along the way, they must heal their severed family bond before they end up killing each other.”

Along with Brolin (No Country for Old Men) and Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Brothers stars Taylour Paige (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F), Jennifer Landon (Yellowstone), Brendan Fraser (The Mummy), Glenn Close (101 Dalmatians), and the late M. Emmet Walsh (Blade Runner).

Barbakow is known for directing Neon and Hulu’s Palm Springs, which was released in 2020 and starred Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti. Barbakow also made a 2013 documentary titled Mommy, I’m a Bastard!

The screenplay, based on a story by Etan Cohen (not to be confused with Ethan Coen), for Brothers was written by Macon Blair, who directed Dinklage in the still-unreleased Toxic Avenger remake movie. Blair is also an actor who recently starred in 2024’s The Thicket, which also starred Dinklage.

Brolin and Dinklage both produce the movie alongside Andrew Lazar and David Gonsberg. Blair serves as an executive producer with Trish Stanard.

Brothers will be released in select United States theaters on October 10, 2024. It will then be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on October 17, 2024.
