    The enigmatic fate of Bing Bong, the beloved imaginary friend from Pixar’s beloved animated film Inside Out, remains a subject of much speculation and curiosity among fans. After the highly acclaimed sequel, Inside Out 2 was released online, fans are keen to know about Bing Bong. Specifically, audiences are left wondering: “If Bing Bong died in Inside Out?”

    Is Bing Bong in Inside Out 2?

    Although there is no confirmation, however, there might be a possibility of some resemblance to Bing Bong in Inside Out 2.

    In an interview screenwriter Dave Holstein spoke about Bing Bong in Inside Out 2. When asked if Bing Bong might return in the animated sequel, Holstein replied cryptically, “I’ll leave that open-ended,” suggesting that there’s a possibility the character could appear. (via Hollywood Handle)

    Furthermore, producer Mark Nielsen disclosed that the sequel has “a bit of a nod to Bing Bong… he’s there.”He is likely referring to the fact that Joy retains an origami representation of Bing Bong and his magical rocket by her bedside. This suggests that Bing Bong’s memory is preserved, albeit in a symbolic form, as per Cracked.

    Poehler’s co-star, Maya Hawke, concurred that Bing Bong’s demise was a poignant moment, while Tony Hale and Liza Lapira, the new voices of Fear and Disgust, suggested that Bing Bong’s spirit now pervades the environment.

    How did Bing Bong die in Inside Out?

    Bing Bong died when he was trying to save Joy and Sadness sacrificing himself. The emotions in Riley’s mind, including Bing Bong, are based on her memories and experiences. As Riley grows older and forgets about her childhood, Bing Bong’s memories fade, leading to his eventual disappearance. It’s a poignant representation of how childhood memories can fade over time.

    Richard Kind previously revealed the original cut of the death scene was more extensive, providing additional insight into Bing Bong’s emotional turmoil and the gravity of his decision.

    Kind told MTV News that the first version of Bing Bong’s death was “absolutely heartbreaking.” Originally conceived to be “40 seconds to a minute longer” than the final version, the scene featured much more emotional dialogue from the adorable character made of fluffy pink cotton candy.
