Rumors are swirling regarding an ‘ indefinite hiatus ‘ for the Foo Fighters , raising questions among fans about the beloved rock band’s future. Amidst recent personal developments involving frontman Dave Grohl, speculation has intensified about the band’s upcoming plans.

So, are the Foo Fighters going on an ‘indefinite hiatus’? Here is everything you need to know about the same.

Are the Foo Fighters going on an ‘indefinite hiatus’?

The Foo Fighters are reportedly planning to go on an ‘indefinite hiatus’ following recent revelations regarding frontman Dave Grohl’s personal life. The 55-year-old musician, married to actress and film producer Jordyn Blum since 2003, announced that he fathered a child with an unnamed woman , creating turmoil within his family. Grohl, who has three children with Blum, is now focused on rebuilding trust after this unexpected turn.

In light of these events, the band canceled their appearance at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, just three days before the show. A post on X stated, “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.”

This cancellation is the beginning of a break for the band as they prioritize their personal lives. A source told The Sun , “The band need time to be with their families and focus on regrouping.” The last few years have been especially difficult for the group, marked by the tragic loss of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, Grohl’s mother’s passing, and now the birth of his new child.

Have the Foo Fighters confirmed that they are taking a break?

No, there has been no official confirmation or public announcement that Foo Fighters are taking a break.

Though there has been no comment of the ‘indefinite hiatus’ of Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl previously issued a statement on Instagram. He wrote, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
