The popular military drama series SEAL Team has ended after seven seasons, drawing curtains on the story of David Boreanaz ‘s Jason Hayes, his crew, and their families. Boreanaz is one of the biggest stars of television with multiple hits under his belt. Before Hayez, he played FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth in 12 seasons of Fox’s police procedural drama series Bones . Recently, he discussed the prospects of a Bones revival and what its storyline could be.

David Boreanaz open to Bones series return following SEAL Team’s ending

In a recent interview with Variety , Boreanaz said he would consider returning for a Bones Revival. However, he mentioned it would have to be a limited series and not “this long, lengthy thing” like the original show. “Trust me: It’s not something that I’m focused on right now in my life where I’m at presently, but it’s the one show that I would consider — and I will say, consider,” he added.

When asked where his and Deschanel’s characters would be now, Boreanaz speculated, “Booth probably would be getting honored in Quantico, at the actual FBI. We would have a daughter who was at least 15, 16. She’d be entering college, probably studying the tactics of wanting to be an FBI agent, which would drive her mother crazy. And maybe she changes course and has a forensic anthropology class within that study of becoming an FBI agent. Who knows?”

Boreanaz elaborated that Booth would probably be retired before being “drawn back into a case,” while Brennan would be “writing books and getting accolades” and “has to get to the FBI in light of this award that I’m getting.” He added, “And then s*** hits the fan. I can see it, man!”According to Boreanaz, this storyline would be “hilarious.” He mused, “My daughter could actually be actively training at the FBI, which would be kind of funny.”

Bones originally aired between 2005 and 2017 and was a loose adaptation of the life and novels of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The series already had a spin-off, The Finder, which aired for one season on Fox in 2012 before its cancellation.
