    A theatrical release date for The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie has been set.

    The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is a forthcoming animated film that follows Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. It was originally developed for Max but then was going to be a content write-off for the company. Warner Bros. Animation was permitted to shop the film elsewhere and, after holding its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2024. It was then acquired by Ketchup Entertainment.

    Now, Ketchup Entertainment has announced a theatrical release date for The Day rhe Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie.

    When is The Day rhe Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie’s release date?

    The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie will be released in United States theaters on February 28, 2025. Prior to that, the film will have its North American premiere at the Animation Is Film Festival on October 18, 2024.

    “One of the greatest comedic duos in history, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck make their hilarious return to the big screen as unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when faced with the threat of alien invasion,” a description of the film reads. “The animated sci-fi comedy adventure is a richly-crafted story told on a scope and scale that’s out of this world, with all the laugh-out-loud gags, vibrant visuals, and beloved characters who make the Looney Tunes so iconic.”

    Pete Browngardt directs the Looney Tunes movie. Browngardt co-wrote the script with Darrick Bachman, Kevin Costello, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, Alex Kirwan, Ryan Kramer, Jason Reicher, Michael Ruocco, Johnny Ryan, and Eddie Trigueros.

    “For generations, the Looney Tunes have held a soft spot in the hearts of fans the world over, including my own,” said Ketchup Entertainment CEO Gareth West. “It’s a true pleasure to bring into theaters Peter Browngardt’s hilariously smart, emotional, and gorgeously rendered story for fans and movie-lovers of all ages to experience a wholly new and original cinematic adventure with our friends, Porky and Daffy.”
