AMC Networks has finally announced the Mayfair Witches Season 2 release date for the long-awaited return of the hit supernatural drama, based on Anne Rice‘s Lives of the Mayfair Witches novel trilogy. This comes after more than a year since the first installment had wrapped up its eight-episode run.

“Season 2 continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher,” reads the logline. “She is determined to understand what he has become – human or monster? – and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.”

When is the Mayfair Witches Season 2 release date?

Mayfair Witches Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, January 5, 2025 on AMC and AMC+. The drama stars Alexandra Daddario as Rowan, Jack Huston as Lasher, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, and Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair. Season 2 will also introduced new cast members including, Alyssa Jirrels as Moira Mayfair, Ted Levine as Julien Mayfair, Thora Birch as Gifford Mayfair, Ben Feldman as Sam Larkin, Callan McAuliffe as Abel Mayfair, Franka Potente as Annamieke, and Ian Pirie as Ian Mayfair.

The series hails from Masters of Sex’s Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, who are both serving as writers and executive producers. In addition, Christopher Rice is executive producing on all projects based on his late mother’s iconic works, which were acquired by AMC Networks in 2020. It is a production of AMC Studios.
