WWE RAW is preparing for a significant transition to Netflix in 2025 as the promotion shifts to streaming. The partnership between Netflix and WWE created a huge buzz in the world of professional wrestling.

WWE’s flagship show Monday Night RAW recently adopted a two-hour format for the first time since 2012. It had previously been a three-hour program from the debut of the 1000th episode.

More than a decade later, WWE RAW returned to this shorter format. This new schedule will continue weekly until the final episode airs on the USA Network on December 30, 2024, before the show makes its transitions to Netflix in January 2025.

WWE and Netflix’s partnership recently produced a six-part docuseries on Vince McMahon. The series highlights pivotal events such as the 1994 steroid trial, the Montreal Screwjob, the Monday Night War with WCW, and the recent sex trafficking lawsuit involving McMahon and former WWE employee Janel Grant. It also explores his personal life and family relationships.

With WWE and Netflix establishing this new partnership, WWE President Nick Khan announced plans to debut a brand new behind-the-scenes documentary together.

WWE & Netflix to launch a new documentary

WWE President Nick Khan recently appeared at the University of Southern California’s Next Level Sports conference. He announced that WWE and Netflix are teaming up to launch a brand-new behind-the-scenes documentary.

According to reports from Bloomberg, “World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., part of TKO Group Holdings Inc., is set to debut a behind-the-scenes documentary series on Netflix Inc., WWE President Nick Khan announced on Thursday…Earlier this year, the two companies signed a $5 billion, 10-year deal that will bring WWE’s flagship program, Raw, to the streaming service in 2025.”

Currently, there is no specific date or update regarding the behind-the-scenes documentary. However, the recent Vince McMahon docuseries has been successful, ranking among the most-viewed shows on the platform.
