This included firing Lily Winters and Chance Chancellor and making his ex-girlfriend Phyllis, his right hand. When Jill learned of what Billy did, she called and criticized him. She even stressed returning to town and reclaiming control from Billy if he was unable to fulfill her demands of rehiring Lily and making amends with Chance and the company.
