    Disney+ has released the official Goosebumps Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of the horror anthology series based on R.L. Stine’s iconic supernatural novel series. Titled “The Vanishing,” the next installment will be available for streaming on Friday, January 10, 2025, with eight new episodes.

    What happens in the Goosebumps Season 2 trailer?

    The video introduces Friends vet David Schwimmer as his character tries to solve the mystery behind his brother’s death. During his investigation, he encounters a strange plant that seems to have a mind of its own. The trailer also highlights some of the thrilling sequences featured in the next season.

    “Season 2 begins when twins Cece and Devin Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad,” reads the synopsis. “A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Cece, Devin and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”

    Goosebumps: The Vanishing hails from executive producers Nicholas Stoller, Rob Letterman, and Hilary Winston, with Letterman serving as the showrunner. It is also executive produced by Neal H. Moritz, Iole Lucchese, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Caitlin Friedman, Erin O’Malley, James Eagan, and Karl Frankenfield. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, Disney Branded Television, Original Film, Stoller Global Solutions, and Scholastic Entertainment.
