Red Dragons' rough start continues against Highlanders
PATTON — Purchase Line coach Matt Falisec knew his team would be in for a tough start at the outset of the Heritage Conference football season. "We had Northern Cambria last week and Cambria Heights this week. These are two of the top teams,” he said after the Red Dragons suffered a 51-0 loss to Cambria Heights in the Highlanders’ conference home opener on Friday at Cambria Heights High School. It’s Week Two of the high school football season, and there are four games on our Renda Media stations tonight. On WCCS and Renda Digital TV, Homer-Center welcomes Marion Center to Memorial Stadium. The Wildcats look to rebound from their loss last week to United Valley while the Stingers beat Portage in Week One. Homer-Center coach Greg Page knows Marion Center will be tough.
IUP CONTINUING TO HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY 2020 DATA BREACH
IUP is continuing mitigation efforts after a data breach in 2020 that involved athletic cases monitored by the university’s athletic trainers. A total of 2,014 people were affected by the unauthorized access to data in the Athletic Trainer System managed by Keffer Development Services. The information includes name, birthday, medical history, rehab information and sometimes social security numbers. Out of those impacted, 1,588 did not have their social security number exposed in the breach.
