Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management waives tipping fees for Bryan-College Station; officials expect to save thousands
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Since the opening of the Twin Oaks landfill, Bryan-College Station has been paying around $30 a ton to dump city trash. Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management announced Wednesday it would be doing away with tipping fees for the cities. Meaning city trucks will no longer pay a fee to dump at the landfill, saving more than $1 million annually.
