Concordia’s Board of Aldermen gave approval Monday night to a request from organizers of the Concordia Fall Festival use of the city’s Central Park.

The request came during Monday’s board meeting, according to city administrator Dale Klussman.

The council also approved a pair of catering licenses for 1832 Distillery and Baltimore Bend Winery to host an event this weekend at the distillery. However, Klussman says the vendors will need to complete some paperwork at the state level first.

Also at yesterday’s meeting, Concordia’s Board of Aldermen adjusted funds to cover the remaining cost of the new heating, air conditioning and ventilation system at the community center, and approved an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation for a retaining wall as part of sidewalk improvements along Route 23. The board also approved amendments to the city lake’s management agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
