Kindergarten teachers are invited to a workshop in Jefferson City to learn all about a new curriculum that focuses on Missouri’s black bears. The Department of Conservation has developed a new curriculum entitled, Kindergarten: Bears Through the Seasons. Media Specialist Maddie Fennewald says the curriculum covers four components of science, including Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, Life Science, and Engineering and Technology Science. And Fennewald says it’s just fun.
Three Men Injured When Freightliner Overturns
Three people were injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler that overturned Monday morning in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2009 Freightliner, driven by 39-year-old Timothy R. Hurr of Sedalia, was at Highway 23 and Route E around 7:20 a.m., when the truck traveled off the east side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the Freightliner began skidding and overturned.

Officers made contact with an intoxicated female subject.
