Missouri woman arrested on suspected drug distribution in Osage County
A Missouri woman was arrested on suspected drug distribution charges in Osage County on Monday. Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest of 37-year-old Kyra Merriman of Kansas City developed after an alleged traffic infraction. An Osage County K-9 unit stopped Merriman at US Highway 75 and 189th Road, about five miles north of Lyndon, and allegedly found illegal narcotics.

Three Men Injured When Freightliner Overturns
Three people were injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler that overturned Monday morning in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2009 Freightliner, driven by 39-year-old Timothy R. Hurr of Sedalia, was at Highway 23 and Route E around 7:20 a.m., when the truck traveled off the east side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the Freightliner began skidding and overturned.

It is hard to believe that school starts in just a month. The campus is a flurry of excitement as we prepare to welcome faculty, staff, and students back to school. Some of the highlights from the summer maintenance have been updating our daycare classrooms with new paint and new flooring and updating the electrical needs. We have updated the flooring in the music room and added a new red carpet entrance. There are so many more projects being worked on throughout the school. This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports. Early Tuesday morning Officers responded to the 400 block of Welch Court in reference to an intoxicated subject. Officers made contact with an intoxicated female subject. Amy Rachelle Naylor, 41, Homeless, was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour safekeeping hold.
