Matvei Michkov is regarded as one of the best prospects in the NHL, but he may have just breached his contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. Drafted 7th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2023 NHL entry draft, Matvei Michkov was expected to be with SKA St. Petersburg for three more years, but will now be coming to North America for the 2024-25 season.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Luis Ortiz pitched seven shutout innings, Oneil Cruz had a home run and three RBIs, and the Pittsburgh Pirates stretched their winning streak to six games with a 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday night. Ortiz (5-2), who had not gone more than six innings this season, gave up three hits and two walks with two strikeouts to lower his ERA to 2.57. “Obviously, it feels good to go out there and throw seven scoreless, but it’s just an inning-by-inning thing that I’ve prepared my mind for,” Ortiz said. “To go out there every inning, first pitch to be aggressive and attack the strike zone. The results are there.” Andrew McCutchen led off the sixth inning by hitting a 3-1 sinker from Cristopher Sánchez (7-5) 431 feet into the bullpen in left-center field. DUI driver arrested after crashing into horse-and-buggy in Lancaster County: police
A man was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he crashed into a horse-and-buggy carrying eight people Sunday in Lancaster County, police said. James L. Walkergoutal, 27, of West Chester, rear-ended the buggy with his Toyota Prius around 4:16 p.m. on Lincoln Highway East, near the Slaymaker Hill Road intersection in Paradise Township, police said.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $4.3 billion in grants to fund projects in 30 states to reduce climate pollution. The money will go to 25 projects targeting greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, electric power, commercial and residential buildings, industry, agriculture and waste and materials management. The grants are paid for by the 2022 climate law approved by congressional Democrats.
