Hotter and more humid trend continues
Sunshine prevailed for our Sunday but the one change has been the stickier feel in the air. That is combining with warmer temps to make for more Summer-Like feels. Heat Index values could rise back into the upper 90s through midweek and possibly sneak up to near 100. The heat and humidity will also aid with some stray storms as a few different disturbances slide through the region. The first arrives tonight into Monday. We'll keep the threat of isolated storms on Monday too as we'll still have some lift on top of us. A rogue stronger storm is possible with some more instability in the atmosphere. This is something we'll be watching closely as a Marginal Risk is draped across parts of the area. Tuesday looks drier as we'll be in between waves, but it'll still muggy and warm. The pattern stays active, with another series of disturbances moving in Wednesday into the weekend. Higher chances develop on Thursday with a cold front sweeping through the region. A couple of stronger storms are possible as well. The plus is none of the days are looking like washouts but we'll keep the chance in the forecast through much of this week. A stronger system looks to slide our way and that could eventually bring higher shower and storm chances next weekend. A cold front likely swings through the Commonwealth and will bring us back down into the lower 80s by Sunday. It's still over a week a way but it's something we'll continue to monitor. Another cold front slides our way likely in the Monday to Tuesday timeframe, keeping our shower and storm threat elevated. Temperatures look to fall back down below normal, dipping back into the upper 70s and lower 80s by Tuesday.
