New York forest rangers conduct nearly 20 rescues in one week
The New York State DEC responded to more than a dozen calls for help over the course of a week, most of which were in the Adirondacks. One call for a dehydrated hiker in Keene required assistance from a New York State Police helicopter. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has searched the New York home of a former aide to Gov. Kathy Hochul, according to The New York Times. FBI agents reportedly raided a $3.5 million house on Long Island where Linda Sun, Hochul’s former deputy chief of staff, lives with her husband. An FBI spokesman confirmed the “conducted court-authorized law enforcement activity” took place early Tuesday morning, but did not comment further.
