A fire at a Conewago Township mobile home park this morning has claimed the life of a man, according to the York County Coroner.

The fire, at the Meadow Run Mobile Home Park in the 5100 block of Susquehanna Trail North, was reported at 5:10 a.m. by a neighbor or a passer-by who called 911, according to York County 911.

Tracy Emig, 54, was not conscious when he was removed from the home through the rear bedroom window by firefighters, according to a news release from Northern York County Regional Police. Police said the man was transported to York Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No cause of death has been released. There is no autopsy scheduled, police said.

Investigators from Northern York County Regional Police Fire Investigator and Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall determined the fire started in the kitchen of the home. The cause of the fire was an overloaded electrical power strip.

No smoke detectors were found in the home.
