A Denver man has been taken into custody for the alleged assault on his mother, which has since escalated to a charge of attempted first-degree murder. Lynard Edward Hunter, 58, called 911 on Friday night to report that he had attacked his 77-year-old mother at their North Little Egypt Road residence, as confirmed by authorities.
