NWS: Rain and thunderstorms heading for CT, with unsettled weather for days

While Monday only brings a “slight chance of showers and thunderstorms” between noon and 5 p.m. storms and downpours also are forecast through most of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast for possible showers and thunderstorms grows into the early part of Tuesday and then the chance of precipitation is 60%, according to the weather service. For Tuesday, the NWS forecasts “showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 11 a.m. ”
For Tuesday night there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, and the same for Wednesday and Wednesday night, according to the weather service.
The unsettled weather this week continues Thursday, with the chance of showers and thunderstorms, growing to 60 percent, with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. The day is forecast to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 85.
On Thursday night, showers also are likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m and 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65, according to the weather service.
