Strike averted at Kittanning nursing home after workers approve new contract
Employees of a Kittanning nursing home approved a new contract Friday, averting a strike scheduled to start the same day, their union announced. SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania said workers at Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center voted in favor of ratifying a new three-year contract that includes improvements to wages and health insurance.
Burke Joins Pitt Softball Staff
PITTSBURGH – Pitt softball head coach Jenny Allard has named Matt Burke to her staff as the manager of player development and operations. Burke comes to Pittsburgh after spending last season as the graduate manager for the Ole Miss softball program. During the 2024 season, the Rebels earned their eighth consecutive bid to the NCAA Softball Championship as the No. 3 seed in the Lafayette Regional.
