Willie’s Grill & Icehouse at 16846 I-45, Conroe, TX 77384 , is gearing up for an exciting transformation. One of the brand’s older locations, this beloved spot is about to receive some much-needed tender loving care, as confirmed by Josh Hill , Vice President of Development.

“Conroe is one of our older locations, so it needs some TLC,” Hill shared during a recent phone conversation. The planned enhancements include the addition of a covered patio in the back, complete with a full-service bar and a retractable enclosure, promising to elevate the outdoor dining experience significantly. This new feature will not only provide a refreshing space for patrons to enjoy their meals and drinks but will also enhance the venue’s versatility in all weather conditions.

Inside, the restaurant will undergo substantial aesthetic updates, ensuring that the interior matches the modern and inviting feel of the new patio area. The focus is primarily on aesthetic improvements, aiming to create a more welcoming and contemporary atmosphere for guests. From updated decor to possibly new seating arrangements, every detail is being considered to offer an improved dining experience.

According to the permit details, the project will cover a square footage of 6,123 ft², encompassing both the interior renovation and the outdoor addition. Hill assured that the core charm and beloved features of Willie’s Grill & Icehouse will remain intact, while the enhancements will bring a fresh, new vibe to the Conroe location.

With these renovations, Willie’s Grill & Icehouse continues to show its commitment to providing top-notch dining experiences, blending their classic appeal with modern comforts. The project is set to begin in August 2024, with an estimated cost of $650,000 and a completion date in September 2024.
