Kendrick Lamar has surprise-released a new song on his Instagram page — just days after being announced as the headliner of the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show .

Spanning five minutes, the unexpected track was uploaded to social media without a caption or title — though it could be called “Watch the Party Die” based on the chorus. Unlike his most recent work, it does not appear to be an outright Drake diss track. Stream it below.

However, Kendrick does appear to reference coming out on top in their beef while rapping, “Just walked that man down, that’ll do everyone a solid/ It’s love but tough love, sometimes you gotta result in violence.”

Over the weekend, the NFL announced Kendrick would be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9th. “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why,” he said in a statement. “They got the right one.”
