A biopic about Anthony Bourdain is in the works at A24 , with Dominic Sessa reportedly in line to play the celebrated chef, author, and documentarian.

Matt Johnson, who recently helmed BlackBerry , will direct the film from a script written by Todd Bartels and Lou Howe. A24 will produce alongside Star Thrower Entertainment.

Sessa is coming off a breakout performance in The Holdovers , for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and a Critics Choice Award for Best Young Performer. The Cherry Hill, New Jersey native will next be seen in Now You See Me 3 .

Bourdain’s memoir, Kitchen Confidential , was previously adapted into a television series in 2005, with Bradley Cooper playing a character inspired by Bourdain.

In 2012, Bourdan’s life was the subject of the documentary film Roadrunner .
