Shortly after releasing her anticipated new album Short n’ Sweet today, Sabrina Carpenter has revealed the music video for “Taste,” which stars actress Jenna Ortega .

With plenty of gore, bloody violence, and horror movie tropes, the video follows Carpenter as she hunts down her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, played by Ortega. Despite limbs being torn and blood spilling all over Ortega’s fancy mansion, the two are seemingly invincible — and eventually, they make up and laugh about the whole thing after the exes’ inevitable funeral. “Taste” arrives as the third single from Short ‘n Sweet following this summer’s pair of hits, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” The visual for “Please Please Please” featured also featured an A-list actor — Barry Keoghan, Carpenter’s boyfriend. She also appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night, performing “Please Please Please,” sitting for an interview with Fallon, and joining the host and fellow guest Zoë Kravitz for a sketch called Ew! .

Carpenter will be supporting Short n’ Sweet with an extensive 2024 arena tour , which kicks off in Columbus, Ohio on September 23rd and runs through mid-November. Get tickets here .

Meanwhile, Jenna Ortega is also in the midst of a busy season: she’s got a major role in the upcoming sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice , which arrives on September 6th, and has been in production for season 2 of Wednesday .
