Legendary Norwegian black metal band Mayhem have announced a select North American 40th anniversary tour set for this November.

The outing will see Mayhem playing only six dates across Canada and the United States, kicking off with a November 12th show in Montreal, and wrapping up November 23rd in Denver. Along the way, the extreme metal veterans will hit Toronto; Queens, New York; Chicago; and Los Angeles.

A Live Nation pre-sale for select dates go on sale Thursday (August 29th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code CREATE , while a general onsale starts Friday (August 30th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . Mayhem formed in 1984, and are one of the most influential black metal bands of all time. Their notorious history was captured in the 2018 movie Lords of Chaos , including the infamous 1993 murder of guitarist Euronymous at the hands of former band member Varg Vikernes.

While promoting Mayhem’s excellent 2019 album Daemon , bassist Necrobutcher shockingly revealed to Heavy Consequence that he was on his way to kill Euronymous himself that same night.

Last year, Mayhem released Daemonic Rites , featuring live versions of songs from Daemon as well as older classics.
