The Jesus and Mary Chain have unveiled a new song titled “Pop Seeds” ahead of their co-headlining tour with The Psychedelic Furs (get tickets here ). Stream it below.

Referencing the band’s original name, “Pop Seeds” is a joyful, psychedelic track that was recorded during the sessions for their latest album, Glasgow Eyes . According to a description, it’s a “nostalgic evocation of the shared psychic landscape which led to the formation of The Jesus and Mary Chain” more than four decades ago.

“Pop Seeds” also captures the feel of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s new memoir, Never Understood , releasing in the US on September 17th (pre-order here ).

Two limited editions of the book are also on the way. The Record Store Edition, featuring alternate artwork and a bespoke slipcase designed by William Reid, arrives on October 3rd. It will be followed by the White Rabbit Edition on November 21st, which adds a 12-inch vinyl with audiobook clips and exclusive postcards. Click here for more details.
