2 Local Fire Departments Awarded Funding for Equipment, Training and Supplies
UTICA, N.Y. -- A few upstate fire departments in New York will soon receive a total of $665,310.24 in federal funding. The funding, which was announced by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, will support nine fire departments by providing protective gear, training and supplies for emergency personnel.

State police charge man in 'officer-involved' shooting incident
CHAUMONT, New York (WWNY) - State police charged a 68 year Chaumont man Friday for allegedly threatening Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies with a knife.
