LeQuint Allen goes all-in, and Syracuse is a winner (Good Morning CNY for Oct. 5)

LeQuint Allen goes all-in, and Syracuse is a winner: Allen had an unforgettable performance in Syracuse’s thrilling 44-41 overtime win against No. 25 UNLV, scoring four touchdowns and accumulating 129 total yards. But that doesn’t begin to tell the story. His 4th-and-1 run -- somehow staying upright after contact behind the line of scrimmage -- kept the Orange hopes alive with just more than a minute left in the game. Then he scored the winner in overtime, carrying a linebacker into the end zone, a play that will be shown over and over on ESPN this morning. Perhaps most impressive of all, he did this with a leg injury he called an 8 on a scale of 1-10. “I would die out there for my teammates if I could,” Allen said after the game. “I love my teammates.”
