Conway police arrest man in overnight bar shooting

CONWAY, Ark. – Police in Conway said they arrested a man in connection with an overnight shooting at a local bar.

According to the Conway Police Department, officers said a disagreement outside of Kings Live Music led to a shooting around 1:45 a.m. Friday. Police said that the victim was taken to a local hospital, but their condition is unknown.

Police officials said that a car was seen leaving the scene after the shooting. Detectives said the vehicle was found and 21-year-old Keyonte Banks was identified as a suspect in the shooting.

Banks was taken into custody and is facing charges of first-degree battery, unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

He is being held in the Faulkner County Detention Center and is scheduled to be in court Monday morning.
