HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two juveniles who suffered critical injuries after a Conway-area crash on Monday were evading police in a stolen vehicle before they crashed, according to an incident report obtained by News13.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded at about 9:15 a.m. on Monday to Highway 905 near Williamson Lake Circle after the vehicle crashed and overturned.

An Horry County police officer tried conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle on Old Reaves Ferry Road at about 8:50 a.m. before a chase ensued, according to the report. The chase continued Conway-bound on Highway 905 before the vehicle crashed.

The juveniles, aged 14 and 15, were treated at the scene before they were taken to Grand Strand emergency room, the report said. They were both issued a summons.

The teenagers’ conditions were not immediately available.
