    PSP: ATV rider wanted for fleeing police after trespassing

    CONYNGHAM TWP., COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police are searching for an ATV rider who allegedly trespassed on private property multiple times and fled from troopers.

    According to Pennsylvania State Police, on June 29 troopers were called for an ATV rider causing a disturbance in the 500 block of And Avenue in Conyngham Township.

    Police say the man was trespassing on private property, doing donuts and burnouts while yelling at the homeowners. The rider also allegedly entered a victim’s parked car before leaving the scene and then returning causing state police to be called.

    Deadly two-car crash under investigation

    Troopers saw the ATV and tried to issue a traffic stop however the rider fled and a short chase took place. PSP noted they stopped the chase due to weather conditions.

    State police say they were able to identify the rider as William Ennis, 41, of Wilburton, and he has been charged with the following;

    • Fleeing police
    • Theft
    • Trespassing
    • Disorderly conduct
    • Harassment
    • Carless driving

    As of July 5, Ennis has not been arrested on these charges.
