Baked Salmon with a Sticky Honey-Garlic Glaze

I love quick meals on nights that I just want to crash when I come home; but when everyone is cranky and hungry, this is one of my go-to's. It's on the table in 30 minutes or less (depending on how thick your cuts are). This is what you'll need to make it happen:

    Ingredients:

    SALMON

    • 4 (6 oz each) salmon filets
    • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1/4 tsp blackening seasoning, optional

    SAUCE

    • 3 Tbsp butter
    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 6 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 cup honey
    • 3 Tbsp light soy sauce
    • 1 Tbsp sriracha sauce
    • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

    Optional:

    • sliced green onions
    • chopped parsley
    • sesame seeds

Begin by patting the salmon dry, then season it with salt, pepper, paprika, and blackening seasoning, if desired. Set the salmon aside. Adjust the oven rack to the middle position and preheat the broiler; placing the rack too high may cause the sauce to burn.

In a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the oil. Once the butter is fully melted, stir in the garlic, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for about 1 minute, or until the sauce is warmed through.

Place the salmon in the skillet with the skin side down (if the skin is still on) and cook for about 3 minutes, frequently basting the top with the sauce using a spoon.

Move the skillet to the oven and broil the salmon for 5-6 minutes, basting with the sauce once more during broiling. Cook until the salmon is caramelized and reaches your preferred level of doneness.

Garnish with minced parsley, diced green onions, and sesame seeds if desired, and serve with rice, noodles, or a vegetable, and enjoy!
