    Ingredients:

    • 1 3 lb Chuck roast
    • 1 packet beef stew seasoning or 4 Tbl low sodium beef bouillon
    • 1 1/2 whole medium yellow onions, sliced, then quarter each slice

    Sliders

    • 1 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls or soft dinner rolls
    • 12 slices of provolone cheese
    • 3 Tbl unsalted butter
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • salt for garnishing
    • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 4 cups water
    • 1 cup beef broth
    • 2 sprigs thyme
    • 1 Tbl vegetable bouillon
    • 2 Tbl onion dip packet

Start by cutting your chuck roast into 4-6 smaller pieces to aid in braising. Season the meat generously with beef stew seasoning or beef bouillon and let it rest at room temperature in the crockpot for 30 minutes. While the meat sits, sauté onions in a tablespoon of olive oil with a pinch of salt for 4-6 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes, then pour the sautéed mixture over the beef chunks.

Add thyme, vegetable bouillon, water, beef broth, and an onion soup mix to the crockpot, stirring everything together. Cover and set the heat to medium-low. Braise for 2-3 hours, flipping the meat halfway through. Continue cooking until the chuck roast becomes tender and shreddable.

Once the beef is done, transfer it to a foil pan to rest for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan and stir in garlic. Shred the beef, slice your sweet rolls in half, and layer the bottom half with provolone cheese, followed by the shredded beef, then another layer of cheese. Place the top buns on and brush them with the garlic butter. Sprinkle with salt and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 16-18 minutes or until the buns are golden and toasty.

While the sliders bake, strain the Au Jus and skim off any excess fat. Serve the sliders with individual dipping bowls of Au Jus for the perfect finishing touch. Enjoy!
