Pizza Hut Opens Newest Location
Pizza Hut has officially returned to the Briggs Chaney Shopping Center, opening its newest location at the Briggs Chaney Center (13884 Old Columbia Pike). The pizza chain previously had a larger, freestanding location in the shopping center for many years before it closed in 2017. The building was demolished and a new Popeyes restaurant opened in its place in 2021.

Synetic embraces 'exile' status with plans for 2024-25 season
Synetic Theater long has been known for its movement on stage, and the troupe’s 2024-25 season – its 23rd – will include movement among venues. Having lost its longtime Crystal City space in the spring due to redevelopment, the professional theater troupe will spend the coming season in a variety of locations, including Arlington’s Thomas Jefferson Community Theatre and Theatre on the Run as well as Theater J in the District of Columbia and Olney Theatre Center in Maryland.
Edgmere senior inspires gardening renaissance

Chris Van Jura, a New Jersey native, launched Catalyst Hot Dogs as a food truck/trailer serving New Jersey-style hot dogs in late 2020, operating across Montgomery County and nearby areas. In January 2023, Catalyst Hot Dogs expanded by taking over the kitchen at Denizen’s Brewing in Riverdale Park (4550 Van Buren St.) in Prince George’s County, and later that year, they also opened a concession stand at the Xfinity Center (8500 Paint Branch Dr.) at the University of Maryland.
