Rowan Co. deputies searching for man accused of statutory rape, indecent liberties
ROWAN CO., N.C. (WBTV) - Deputies are searching for a Rowan County man accused of statutory rape and indecent liberties with a child. Deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office were called for a welfare check on May 18 of a juvenile at Paradise Point near Salisbury. There, they found another juvenile (a 12-year-old) and 18-year-old were home. Deputies said they saw evidence suggesting the two had been sexually involved, prompting further investigation.

The Rotary Club of Statesville Endowment has awarded a total of $27,000 to 13 local nonprofits for the spring 2024 grant period. A reception was held at Randy Marion Lincoln on June 4 to celebrate the nonprofit recipients and their commitment to the community.
