35-year sentence for man arrested in Oak Grove for kidnapping, ransom
A Texas man will spend 35 years in a federal prison after kidnapping a Kentucky woman and transporting a minor across state lines. The sentence was handed down this week for 42-year-old Bryan Conley. In 2018, he created a fake online dating profile where he offered money and property to lure a minor from Ohio. The minor met up with Conley in Tennessee. He took the minor to Texas, stealing her purse and phone and abandoning her.

16-year-old killed in Crowley shooting; suspect arrested
On August 18, 2024, at approximately 1:01 p.m., the Crowley Police Department received a 9-1-1 call regarding a shooting in the 1200 block of Celeste Street. Officers immediately responded and administered aid until the Crowley Fire/EMS Department arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 16-year-old male.

Monday Meal-A-Day Prep Team; Call for Drivers
August 19, 2024 – The Meal-A-Day ‘Prep Team’ was busy Monday morning preparing pineapple and bell peppers for meals this week. Meal-A-Day is powered by volunteers and we could always use more. Right now we have a shortage of drivers. Most routes take about one and a half hours to complete. Most drivers volunteers one day a week. For some seniors your knock and hot meal may be their only contact with the outside world. Our volunteer drivers find their work very rewarding.
