    Cooperstown man killed after Nelson County motorcycle crash

    PEKIN, ND ( KXNET ) — A 63-year-old man from Cooperstown has died after sustaining serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, July 20 in Nelson County.

    According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 4:03 p.m., the man was traveling north on ND Highway 1 (one mile north of Pekin) on a motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons.

    He was then thrown from the vehicle, and sustained serious injuries. He was not wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.

    The man was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, but succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, July 27.
