Manlius parade embraces 4th of July traditions, old and new
MANLIUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — It’s so much more than just bagpipes, candy and big trucks. The Manlius parade is about tradition. “We always sit in front of Bruegger’s and we get their red, white and blue bagels when it was in the morning,” Mary Austin, who has gone to the Manlius parade since she was a little girl, said. “Then we go to all the food trucks, listen to all the live music, fight everybody for the candy, and then we always go to Sno Top at the end.”

GoFundMe Page Started for Edison Family, Mom Killed by Fallen Tree at New York Campground
EDISON, NJ - Residents have set up a GoFundMe page for Carol Luistro, an Edison Township woman who was killed by a downed tree at a campground in Delaware County, New York, according to the Colchester Police Department. The page has a goal of $30,000 to donate to her husband and two teenage sons. On Saturday, New York authorities say they received numerous reports of trees down at campsites due to a passing storm. They were alerted to an individual trapped in her camper at the Russell Brook Campground, located in Colchester, NY.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER According to a press release, Luistro was inside the camper when a large tree fell, striking the camper and pinning her under it. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene. “Carol was a beautiful woman with an even more beautiful soul. She was brilliant, caring and funny. She loved her family and friends fiercely and was always looking out for them. At 45 years old, she had so much light and love left to give,” the GoFundMe reads.
