NY weather: Weather alert for dense fog in Suffolk County until Sunday morning
The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday for dense fog until Sunday at 6 a.m. for Suffolk County. "Fog has developed across parts of Southern Connecticut from New Haven east through New London as well as Eastern Long Island this evening. There are patches of dense fog where visibilities will be reduced to a quarter mile or less. Motorists should be prepared for quickly changing visibilities. Slow down, allow for extra space between vehicles and use your low beam headlights in the fog," states the weather service.
