85-year-old man pushed down steps at 53rd Street-Lexington subway station; suspect in custody

This Interactive Map Shows What NY Would Look Like If It Were Underwater
According to NASA Scientists NYC is sinking–an old study hypothesized it was due to the weight of its skyscrapers–and this (eerie) new interactive map shows us just what New York may soon look like due to rising sea levels. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recently created a Sea Level Rise Viewer tool, which plays out different scenarios of how New York may look in the coming decades due to ocean levels rising. The tool looks as far as the year 2100. The tool allows you to explore different scenarios, such as what some local predictions are in specific areas.

Designed by Marvel Designs and developed and built by Lendlease, the project will yield 834 rental units across the two structures, the taller of which will stand 37 stories and 402 feet tall. Aware Super is the joint developer, INC Architecture & Design is the interior designer for the public areas, and Crème is the interior designer for the townhouse units at the complex, which is alternately addressed as 18 India Street and occupies a full block bound by India Street to the north, Java Street to the south, West Street to the east, and the India Street pier over the East River to the west.

NY weather: Weather alert for dense fog in Suffolk County until Sunday morning
The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday for dense fog until Sunday at 6 a.m. for Suffolk County. "Fog has developed across parts of Southern Connecticut from New Haven east through New London as well as Eastern Long Island this evening. There are patches of dense fog where visibilities will be reduced to a quarter mile or less. Motorists should be prepared for quickly changing visibilities. Slow down, allow for extra space between vehicles and use your low beam headlights in the fog," states the weather service.
