South Florida -born steakhouse brand Los Ranchos Steakhouse has been “ Serving up Miami’s Best Steaks & Gallo Pinto since 1981. ” With locations in Miami and Hialeah , Los Ranchos is now preparing to expand to its third outpost with a new restaurant opening in Coral Gables , at 2728 Ponce de Leon .

The new location will have a 180-seat capacity, including a 30-seat lounge designed for cocktails and relaxation—although you can still order food there, Los Ranchos owner Rafael Wong told What Now on Tuesday. There will be a main dining room with about 50 seats, plus two private dining rooms with 30 and 40 seats, respectively, which can be combined into a single 70-seat space.

There will also be a sliding door, allowing the bar area to open completely to the outside, connecting to outdoor seating.

“It’s designed to match the prestigious Coral Gables area overall, so we’re taking our traditional décor and look and making some upgrades too,” Wong said.

On the menu side, the Coral Springs location will stick to the brand’s strengths. There will be a slightly expanded wine list, along with location-specific specials, but otherwise you can expect to find the same menu items that have made Los Ranchos’ other two locations popular.

“The strength of our signature Churrasco Presidente has kept it a huge hit across the board,” Wong said. “It continues to be the kind of premium steak that people seek us out for. We’ve also added to the menu a wagyu New York Strip, giving another choice at that premium level.”
